I can remember the days early on in my relationship with the Lord when my Bible was very new to me. And oh, how excited I was to know God more. I remember Leann McGee, a Campus Crusade staff member, talking with me about the importance of quiet time alone with the Lord. I read in the Bible about Jesus in Luke 5:16, and how he would often withdraw to lonely places to pray. I heard the invitation of God in Psalm 46:10, “Be still and know that I am God.” And oh, how I longed to know God more. But I’m going to tell you that in the beginning, quiet time was a mystery to me. What do you actually do in a quiet time with God? And so, I asked the Lord to show me how to spend time alone with Him. I began my journey into quiet time.
